Peer Learning Teams
AUCH hosts and convenes several peer learning teams across various disciplines. These peer groups enable health center staff to exchange valuable information, share best practices, and provide feedback on AUCH’s activities, policies, and training programs.
Meeting regularly both in-person and online, peer groups are kept up to date on information relevant to their interests and needs.
Behavioral Health Peer Group
This peer group consists of behavioral health professionals who discuss emerging issues, challenges, best practices, and helpful community resources. Specific CEU training opportunities are offered throughout the year.
Billing Learning Team
This peer group consists of billing professionals who discuss billing and revenue cycle updates and best practices. The group supports each other by sharing billing and coding information, and other relevant resources.
Chief Operations Officer Peer Group
This peer group consists of professional finance staff who discuss operational challenges, emerging issues, best practices, and resources to improve operational performance.
Communications Peer Group
This peer group consists of communications and development professionals who collaborate on projects, ask for advice, and share promising practices. Additionally, AUCH uses this time to work collaboratively with the Group on its communications efforts.
Emergency Preparedness Peer Group
This peer group consists of emergency preparedness professionals who discuss CMS requirements, best practices, gaps and barriers, and resource networking.
Financial Directors Roundtable
This peer group consists of financial management staff who discuss emerging issues, challenges, network, and expand leadership skills and knowledge to improve the financial performance and access to health care services.
Human Resources Group
This peer group consists of human resource professionals who discuss the latest HR trends, compliance, policies, benefits, and more.
Immunizations Peer Group
This peer group works to increase Utah’s vaccine rates by training on and understanding vaccines, and discussing any emerging issues, challenges, and best practices.
Medical Directors Roundtable
This peer group consists of Medical Directors who discuss best practices, share information, and collaborate on advancing clinic and medical director Medical Director goals. AMA PRA Category Continuing Medical Education credit is provided for most events.
Outreach & Enrollment Peer Group
This peer group consists of Assistors, Navigators, and other types of enrollment staff working to connect patients to coverage to discuss enrollment initiatives pertaining to Medicaid, CHIP and the Health Insurance Marketplace.
Pharmacy Roundtable
This peer group consists of pharmacy professionals who discuss emerging issues, challenges, and best practices for operating in-house pharmacies, as well as issues impacting the 340B program, including contract pharmacies.
Public Affairs Committee
This committee consists of staff members across various disciplines that provide recommendations on policy priorities and identify legislative restraints and issues. The group receives a monthly PA Report with state and federal policy and regulatory updates, with weekly updates during the Utah General Legislative Session.
Quality Improvement Forum
This peer group consists of clinical and QI professionals who discuss best practices and share resources related to core QI and PCMH concepts, and chronic care management to improve clinical performance.
